For SAED 2016 we decided to have the symposium at the legendary Hotel Continental in Oslo, Norway.
For SAED 2016 the academy yet again chose a spectactular venue, but this time at the legendary Hotel Continental in Oslo, and to top the event of 2015, the scientific committee and the executive council worked hard to put together a very interesting and exciting program for you, both scientifically and socially.
Through four generations, one family has built and developed Hotel Continental into the legendary status it has today as one of Norway´s finest five-star hotels, and member of The Leading Hotels of the World. In addition to the hotel´s 155 rooms and suites, the hotel has four restaurants and bars with world-class food and beverage, as well as the highest standard of meeting rooms and conference facilities. Visitors from all over the world, and regulars from Oslo, creates a vibrant and international atmosphere, and the unique art collection, history and ambience at Hotel Continental is key to ensuring a five-star experience for you as a guest at the very best luxury hotel in Oslo.
The scientific program:
This year, the scientific committee outdid themselves by providing an amazing array of lecturers, and managed to put a substantial wow-factor on the beginning as well as the ending of the scientific program, with Federico Brunner´s kick-start and the star-like finnish on sunday morning by Bichacho & Feraru.
In between these, the program was packed with great presentations from Arman Gazi and Rob Oretti, Axel Bergman and Charlotte Nyby, and of course the amazing Heming Olsen-Bergem.
The social program:
In the social part of the symposium, we had a great “Grease” theme party with our own drive-in cinema, soda-shakes and burgers, and a large pot of Brylcreem for each table. On Saturday we had our traditional Galla dinner. At both of these, you the delegates, fulfilled the last part of the president´s “poetic promise” presented during her opening speech; that best of it all – in the midst of all that was happening – there would be you.. and you all delivered!
Thank you all for a great symposium, and we look forward to seeing you all back again in Oslo next September.
